Who we are...
Thor Thorøe came to South Africa in 2008 to start a social company producing raw materials for his ice cream business in Denmark. He soon found out that the south african market had a desire and need for better chocolate to more reasonable prices. To finance this operation he sold his business in Denmark and devoted his time and life to create a social company which primarily goal would be to create social wealth for the underprivileged.
In May 2011, Thor partnered with pastry chef and chocolatier Antonino Allegra to open CocoaFair. Antonino brings his extensive experience in fine dining and the hospitality industry to his role as head chocolatier, and overseas all aspects of the bean-to-bar process.
Together they are working to change the world, one piece of chocolate at a time!
